NORMAN — With 1:44 left and the Sooners down by 1 point, Austin Reaves dribbled up the court, he pushed off the Kansas State defender and stepped back. Reaves drained a three and gave Oklahoma the lead for the first time in the second half.
Reaves didn’t do much to celebrate after the shot went in. He just jogged back to the other side of the court to get on defense, but on his way he and senior forward Kristian Doolittle subtly high fived.
It was a simple moment, but it came between Oklahoma’s two most important players in the game — Doolittle, who had kept the Sooners in the game most of the way, and Reaves, who led the charge in the comeback.
