NORMAN — Ryan Spangler gives a bit of a smirk when asked about Kansas State.
Last season, the Wildcats swept the Sooners despite finishing eighth in the Big 12 and not even making the NIT, much less the NCAA Tournament.
Saturday, Kansas State comes to Norman (3:30 p.m., ESPNews) desperate for an upset to avoid falling to 0-3 in Big 12 play.
Last season's pair of upsets wound up being a big reason Oklahoma was sent to Columbus, Ohio, to start the tournament instead of closer destinations like Omaha, Neb., or Louisville.
“They threw us around, and we didn't know how to respond to that,” Spangler said, shaking his head a bit.
