Brady Manek scored a game-high 18 points and Oklahoma survived Mississippi State 63-62 Saturday in the Big 12/SEC Challenge at Chesapeake Energy Arena.
The Bulldogs (12-7) had a chance to escape Oklahoma City with the win, but Robert Woodard's jumper bounced off the back of the rim right before the final buzzer.
The Sooners (13-6) led comfortably for most of the afternoon and didn't trail until a D.J. Stewart layup gave the Bulldogs a 58-57 lead with 4:15 left to play.
OU responded with four quick points on an Austin Reaves jumper and Manek dunk. The Sooners never trailed the rest of the way.
