NORMAN — Balance is Brian Schibler’s craft.
The OU gymnast juggles chemical biosciences and Spanish as his two majors. He’s a volunteer Spanish teacher and a part-time EMT. He’s a 4.0 student and a semifinalist for the Fulbright Scholar Program.
And then there’s the pommel horse, the gymnastics apparatus Schibler has conquered in the ultimate display of balance.
“You always have to try to be perfect,” Schibler said. “I think pommel horse is really the epitome of that. It's the one event in gymnastics that's the most, not necessarily feared, but it tends to be the most nerve wracking.
