NORMAN — Will Johnson isn't Eric Striker.
Johnson doesn't have Striker's bombastic personality or his reputation as a fearsome pass rusher that terrorized Big 12 quarterbacks over the last three seasons.
But with Striker having departed to the NFL, Oklahoma is looking for a replacement at outside linebacker.
It looks like Johnson might be that replacement.
Johnson played significantly last year as a sophomore, starting three games at nickelback after he broke into the lineup early in the season.
But with Sooners defensive coordinator Mike Stoops wanting more versatility in his defense, Johnson figures to be a regular this season.
