OU football: Where do Sooner playoff hopes stand after loss to Texas?

DALLAS — After losing a 48-45 Red River thriller to Texas at Cotton Bowl Stadium on Saturday, Oklahoma's hopes to qualify for consecutive College Football Playoff appearances rely on winning out.

No two-loss team has qualified for the College Football Playoff since the model was adopted in 2014, and Oklahoma likely won't have enough quality wins to become the first. Texas was the first ranked opponent OU had faced this season, and the Sooners couldn't seal their comeback bid.

Oklahoma (5-1, 2-1 Big 12) has a 13 percent chance to qualify for the playoff after losing Saturday, according to FiveThirtyEight's projections.
