NORMAN — In his living room in Norman, J.D. Runnels went wild.
On the sidelines of Owen Field, Trey Millard and Dimitri Flowers celebrated as well.
Runnels, Millard and Flowers are part of Oklahoma’s H-back tradition of the last 20-plus seasons.
The newest member of the group is Jeremiah Hall and more and more, Hall is showing that he can handle the critical role in the Sooners’ offense.
“It’s a brotherhood inside of a brotherhood,” Runnels said.
The celebrations Saturday weren’t set off by a touchdown but a 23-year completion on fourth-and-11 in the second quarter of Saturday’s 55-16 win over Texas Tech that showed the versatility of the position in Oklahoma’s offense.
