Oklahoma center Ty Darlington won the William V. Campbell Trophy as college football's scholar-athlete of the year on Monday night.
It was the continuation of a big day in New York for Darlington.
Earlier in the day, he was named the winner of the Wuerffel Trophy, which combines athletic performance with community service and academics.
As a finalist for the Campbell Trophy, Darlington had already earned an $18,000 postgraduate scholarship as a member of the National Football Foundation's Scholar-Athlete Class. With the win, Darlington's scholarship was increased to $25,000.
