For the second time in three seasons, an Oklahoma center has won the Wuerffel Trophy.
Ty Darlington was named the winner of the 2015 award Tuesday morning at the National Football Foundation's press conference in New York City.
Darlington joins 2013 winner Gabe Ikard in winning the award, which is given for not only success on the field but in academics and for community service as well.
Darlington has already been awarded an $18,000 postgraduate scholarship for being one of 12 finalists for the William V. Campbell Trophy, awarded to college football's best scholar-athlete.
