LUBBOCK, Texas — Trey Sermon sent a pounding reminder Saturday of who the lead running back is in Oklahoma's offense.
The sophomore stiff-armed his way to a career-high 206 yards on 26 carries.
He had three rushing touchdowns, including a clutch 20-yard score to put the Sooners up 42-34 with 11:54 left and a 30-yard rumble to ice the game with less than three minutes left.
While redshirt freshman running back Kennedy Brooks has made big plays look easy this season, causing coach Lincoln Riley to say it looks like he's running in the park with his Labrador, it's Sermon who's still top dog in OU's backfield.
