NORMAN — Trejan Bridges backpedaled four yards, and then saw Texas Tech running back SaRodorick Thompson break through a small hole. Bridges was late to the pile of tacklers, but that didn't stop him from lunging into it.
Bridges, a freshman who committed to Oklahoma as a five-star wide receiver, didn't lack aggression in his first defensive snap.

But that uncontrolled aggression combined with the unfamiliarity of a new position made for a rocky defensive debut.
Bridges replaced Brendan Radley-Hiles at nickelback late in the third quarter.
