NORMAN — Every spring game brings an unexpected standout. Freshman receiver Trejan Bridges was the standout, but it wasn’t entirely unexpected.
The freshman receiver from Carrollton, Texas, came to Norman with a five-star pedigree. Bridges is one of three five-star freshmen receivers along with Jadon Haselwood and Theo Wease.
All were early enrollees. They combined for eight catches Friday night.
“I think they feel the competition in that room right now,” OU coach Lincoln Riley said. “It’s raised all their games, and that’s what you want to have.”
Bridges, lining up with quarterback Jalen Hurts on the Red Team, caught three passes for 76 yards.
