NORMAN — OU's run of recruiting success among defensive backs continued Saturday when Damond Harmon, a three-star cornerback from Highland Springs, Virginia, announced his commitment to the Sooners on Saturday.
Harmon is the third 2021 defensive back commit for the Sooners in the last month, joining a pair of Texas products, Caleb Johnson and Latrell McCutchin.
Harmon chose the Sooners over a group of finalists that included Georgia, Penn State, Tennessee and South Carolina.
The 6-foot-1, 180-pound Harmon is a versatile defender that can also play safety.
The Sooners hope Harmon's commitment will help them secure another highly sought-after 2021 recruit.
