NORMAN — When news broke of OU safety Will Sunderland's arrest warrant Monday night, the reaction from Oklahoma was relatively swift.
Before he even turned himself in Wednesday in Oklahoma County for concealing stolen property — a misdemeanor — Sunderland was indefinitely suspended from the OU football team. Coach Lincoln Riley, who took the reins of the program from Bob Stoops on June 7, announced the suspension Monday night, three days after a warrant for Sunderland's arrest was issued.
But from here, Riley's next steps are a little less clear.
Another arrest for Sunderland is imminent, this time on a second-degree burglary charge, a felony.
