NORMAN — Bennie Wylie, Oklahoma football’s director of sports performance, will be one of 11 prominent OU figures who will be skydiving Friday with the Black Daggers — a U.S. Army Special Operations Command parachute demonstration team.
Wylie has kept that news to himself this week.
“I still haven’t told my wife yet,” Wylie said with a laugh. “She would die.”
The parachute jumps come the day before Oklahoma’s game against Army. The Sooners and Black Knights kick off at 6 p.m. Saturday.
“Better me than the head coach,” Wylie said when asked how he was selected.
