NORMAN — When Geno Lewis decided to transfer from Penn State after last season, he was diligent with his research.
“I basically went down and I wrote down all the Power Five schools and looked at all their depth charts for receivers and looking at their quarterbacks and everybody they had coming back,” Lewis said. “Oklahoma was just the best fit for me. I just felt like it was the best opportunity.”
It all made sense on paper — the Sooners lost not only No. 1 receiver Sterling Shepard but Durron Neal as well and returned the electric Baker Mayfield at quarterback.
