OU football: Sooners add three-star linebacker Edgerrin Cooper to 2020 class

Lincoln Riley tweeted the eyes during the NBA Draft on Thursday night.

Friday, Edgerrin Cooper officially came aboard Oklahoma’s 2020 class, announcing on Twitter that he was committed to the Sooners.

The 6-foot-2, 204-pound Rivals three-star inside linebacker from Covington, Louisiana, chose the Sooners over Oklahoma State and Mississippi State.

He had 106 tackles as a junior last season, including 13 for loss.

Cooper is the 12th commitment of the class for the Sooners and the first linebacker.

Oklahoma’s 2020 recruiting has picked up this month with three other commitments in the class. They also added a commitment from the top player in the 2021 class, Brick Vandagriff, on Thursday morning.
