Riley was asked directly if any players would be suspended for the game.
“I’m aware of the report that’s out there,” Riley said. “Unfortunately at this time, I cannot comment on that.”
Twice more during his 30-minute press conference, Riley was asked about potential suspensions. Both times he declined to elaborate further.
Sources indicated that the suspensions were due to failed NCAA drug tests, though there’s a chance to appeal those results and to have those appeals heard before the game.
