NORMAN — Before Rhamondre Stevenson introduced himself to Sooner fans, fellow running back Trey Sermon did his best to describe Stevenson’s game.
Sermon compared Stevenson to four-time Pro Bowler and former Kansas City Chiefs star Jamaal Charles.
Stevenson, who transferred to Oklahoma from Cerritos College in Southern California, laughed off the comparison Tuesday night.
“I see what he’s saying, but without the speed I guess,” Stevenson said. “I’m not a blazer like that.”
Stevenson said he’s more of a Marshawn Lynch-type back.
The 6-foot and 236-pound junior has carried the ball 21 times for 182 yards and three touchdowns this season.
