NORMAN — There was no hesitation on the part of Matt Campbell.
There was no doubt across the field in Lincoln Riley’s mind.
When Campbell, Iowa State’s coach, made the quick decision to go for two after the Cyclones scored a touchdown to pull within one, 42-41, Saturday night, Riley had a pretty good idea the game was about to come down to a single play.
“We were virtually 100 percent certain they would,” Riley said of the decision to go for two.
The Sooners wound up on the right side of things, as Brock Purdy’s pass went right in La’Michael Pettway’s breadbasket, but Parnell Motley ripped it away and grabbed the interception to put the game away.
