Former Oklahoma cornerback Aaron Colvin has been released by the Houston Texans, according to a report by ESPN’s Adam Shefter.
Colvin, who attended Owasso High School, struggled in Houston’s 30-28 loss to the New Orleans Saints on Monday night.
Saints quarterback Drew Brees had success against Colvin throughout the game.
Brees connected with Ted Ginn Jr. on his final pass of the contest. Colvin was the closest defender. On the next play, Wil Lutz made a 58-yard field goal to win the game.
Colvin signed a four-year, $34 million contract with the Texans in 2018.
