The Sooners’ 34-27 victory over Texas was a defensive masterpiece in the first half and an offensive explosion in the second half, and the grades reflect a generally positive day for OU:
Run game: A.
On a day when the OU passing game wasn’t prolific, the running game came to the rescue. On 30 designed runs, not counting kneel downs at the end of the game, the Sooners gained 223 yards. Tailback Kennedy Brooks gained 105 yards on 10 carries, Jalen Hurts ran 72 yards on 12 non-scramble carries and Rhamondre Stevenson had a 24-yard gain that set up OU’s final touchdown.
