NORMAN — A petition for a protective order was filed against Calum Sutherland on Thursday.
The petition was filed in Cleveland County, and a hearing is set for Friday Nov. 8.
The kicker was suspended from the team indefinitely in early October.
Sutherland was arrested on the morning of Sept. 21 on public intoxication charges. A “short verbal and physical altercation” occurred between Sutherland and his girlfriend prior to his arrest, according to the affidavit for the arrest. Sutherland has also been under investigation by the University of Oklahoma’s Title IX office.
