Defensive end Charles Tapper is one of Oklahoma's experienced leaders on defense now, but he remembers his first big-time road game environment — in 2013 when the Sooners traveled to face Notre Dame.
“I was scared,” Tapper said this week. “Good thing we had Aaron Colvin.”
“Tap, you've got to calm down. Relax. You're not being the same Tap. You're not dancing around,” Tapper recalled Colvin telling him.
Tapper turned things around pretty well in that game, finishing with two sacks.
“Once the game got going and we got a couple three and outs, it's like, ‘OK, I can do this.
