OU football: Norman restaurant has been gathering place for Murray and his O-line

NEW YORK — Wednesdays at Tea Cafe on Campus Corner in Norman became a tradition for Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray and his offensive linemen this season.

“It's just become a thing,” Murray said Sunday, one day after winning the Heisman Trophy.

They've been mostly quiet gatherings but might not be if they return since Murray name-checked the eatery during his acceptance speech Saturday night.

“I didn't think about that,” Murray said, before adding that he wouldn't be bothered if the anonymity they had does fade some. “I enjoy when there's people there.”

Murray took the linemen out to Fuzzy's Taco Shop the first week of the season before shifting to Tea Cafe.
