Jones comes through in the clutch

Oklahoma's offense needed some positive momentum coming out of halftime trailing 21-10.

They got it almost immediately, with little-used Mykel Jones coming up with a 31-yard reception on the second play of the half on a back-shoulder throw by Baker Mayfield.

Jones left after the play with a shoulder injury but returned and finished with three catches for a career-high 76 yards.

Jones had just three catches for 58 yards all season entering Saturday's game.

Beal sets the tone for the defense

In the first half, Kansas State was able to take advantage of the Sooners defensively with the quarterback run game.
