AMES, Iowa — Marquise Brown is all about the spotlight.
With a nickname like Hollywood, a gold grill that covers his teeth and a postgame wardrobe that includes Fred Biletnikoff and Antonio Brown jerseys, he’s not hard to miss even among fellow Sooner stars.
Saturday in Ames, Iowa he was all about the statsheet. Not that he was chasing records, but records were broken nevertheless.
His 189 receiving yards in the first half against Iowa State set a school record for most receiving yards in a half. It was his own record, 178 first-half yards against Oklahoma State last season, that he broke.
