OU football: Looking at the reasons for the Sooners' recent offensive resurgence

NORMAN — Ty Darlington was all smiles as he entered the postgame interview room following Oklahoma's 63-27 win over Texas Tech on Saturday night.

Darlington, the Sooners' senior center, has spent plenty of time this season talking about improvements that needed to happen and the reason why OU's run game and pass protection haven't been as solid as they've been in recent years.

But for the second consecutive game, Oklahoma's offense was dominant and the offensive line was able to protect quarterback Baker Mayfield.

“I think you saw, and you'll see it on film, guys being physical — staying on blocks longer and having an idea of what's going to happen before it happens,” Darlington said.
