NORMAN — Defense has made a comeback in the Big 12.
For most of recent memory, the conference has been dominated by high-powered offenses and high-scoring games. This year, however, the defenses have started to get stronger.
Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley knows the perceptions of the defenses in the Big 12, but he said the conference has a lot of quality defenses this season.
"I do think people that know football if they take a true look at what a lot of these defenses are doing right now they’re going to see really, really quality defenses, quality coordinators," Riley said.
