NORMAN — Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley interrupted West Virginia warmups for a few seconds Saturday to greet Austin Kendall, his former quarterback.
Kendall is expected to start for West Virginia at 11 a.m. Saturday against Oklahoma.
Kendall spent three years with the Sooners as a backup quarterback. He transferred to West Virginia in January.
Riley was asked earlier this week about preparing to face Kendall.
"In a broad sense, is it strange? Yeah, a little bit," Riley said. "Guy was recruited and was here with us for three years, so it definitely feels a little strange.
