OU football: Lincoln Riley addresses Cleveland Browns coaching job

NORMAN – The Cleveland Browns’ decision to fire coach Hue Jackson on Monday morning immediately led to speculation regarding Oklahoma coach Lincoln Riley’s candidacy for the job.

"Knew that was coming," Riley said after being asked about the Browns job to open his press conference Monday morning.

"The truth is for me, I love Oklahoma," Riley said. "I love coaching here. I love coaching college football. I certainly don't have that itch right now."

Riley, who's yet to complete his second season as Oklahoma's coach, is 19-3 in Norman.

He’s an easy target for the Cleveland job given his relationship with Browns quarterback and former OU Heisman Trophy winner Baker Mayfield.
