NORMAN — Monday, sexual assault survivor turned activist Brenda Tracy shared her story with Oklahoma's football team.
“That was way more important than anything football-related could ever be,” defensive backs coach Kerry Cooks said. “Bigger than the game, bigger than the coaches, bigger than the university. You're talking about affecting someone's life for the rest of their life — someone wanting to commit suicide because of a situation that occurred. That's a big deal.”
Tracy's emotional message, which lasted about an hour, had an impact on the Sooners.
“I was mad,” safety Steven Parker said of hearing the details of the attack Tracy endured.
