After a slow start, Oklahoma's rushing game came alive in the second half of the Sooners 56-3 blowout over Kansas on Saturday night.
Joe Mixon, who was sensational a week earlier against Texas Tech when he ran for 263 yards and two touchdowns, had just eight yards at halftime but quickly turned things around in the third quarter and finished with 74 yards and a touchdown while Abdul Adams equaled his career high with 91 yards and a touchdown.
Fifty-seven of Adams' yards came on one carry.
“(The long run) was important,” offensive coordinator Lincoln Riley said.
