Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield and linebacker Eric Striker were both named second-team All-Americans by the Football Writers Association of America on Monday.
Mayfield and Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson have been the two quarterbacks featured on every All-America team so far, with Mayfield earning first-team honors from the Walter Camp Football Foundation.
Watson is the first-team quarterback on the Associated Press and FWAA teams.
To be a recognized by the NCAA as a “consensus” All-American, you must earn first-team distinction from three of five selectors that include the AP, the American Football Coaches Association, the FWAA, Sporting News and the Walter Camp foundation.
