NORMAN — When Oklahoma's coaches approached Jordan Parker in the spring and asked what he thought about a move from cornerback to safety, Parker was all in.
“Let's get it done,” Parker said. “Anything I have to do to better this team and help this team out is what I'm ready to do.”
As a freshman in 2016, Parker emerged as a steadying force at cornerback after Michiah Quick's injury and subsequent departure from the team, as well as rocky play early by other corners Dakota Austin and Parrish Cobb.
Parker finished with 36 tackles that year and was expected to be a big piece of the secondary last year.
