NORMAN — As the 2020 recruiting class signs letters of intent across the country, National Signing Day also gives current players a chance to reflect on the memories of their own signings.
But for Oklahoma quarterback Jalen Hurts, that is not the case. Early signing day didn't exist when he was a recruit. There was just one signing day, and it was in February.
"I didn't have a signing day," Hurts said. "I didn't get all of that pretty stuff."
Hurts enrolled early at Alabama, arriving on campus in January of 2016. By then, Alabama had earned a spot in the national championship against Clemson, and Hurts had arrived just in time to help the Crimson Tide prepare.
