LAWRENCE, Kan. — Kansas coach Les Miles never faced Jalen Hurts in his time at LSU. Hurts was a freshman at Alabama when Miles was fired four games into the 2016 season.
But the two former SEC icons shared friendly words with each other after Oklahoma’s 45-20 win against Kansas on Saturday.
“He came over and said hi,” Miles said after the game. “He’s a good competitor, quality person, great family kind of guy.”
Hurts was told what Miles said about him.
“I appreciate that from coach Les Miles, a well-respected guy,” Hurts said.
Hurts completed 16 of 24 passes against the Jayhawks for 228 yards and two touchdowns.
