OU defense holds Hall to season low
ARLINGTON, Texas — The nation’s leading rusher couldn’t turn the momentum for his team on Saturday.
A key factor in Oklahoma’s 27-21 win over Iowa State in the Big 12 title game on Saturday at AT&T Stadium was the Sooners’ ability to hold Breece Hall in check.
Hall entered the game having rushed for 100 yards in eight of 10 games and at least 91 in every game, but the Sooners allowed him only 79 yards on Saturday.
Hall helped the Cyclone cause with two touchdowns, but managed only 27 yards on 11 carries in the second half
The last time the teams met, Hall had 139 yards and two touchdowns in the Cyclone victory.
