NORMAN — Oklahoma redshirt freshman Gabe Brkic handled kicking duties Saturday as a result of Calum Sutherland’s apparent suspension.
Sutherland, who served as OU’s starting kicker through its first three games, was arrested on a public intoxication charge last weekend. He was not dressed out in OU's 55-16 win against Texas Tech.
Brkic was perfect in his place — connecting on first-half field goals of 34 and 33 yards while making all seven of his extra point attempts.
“It was swirling out there,” coach Lincoln Riley said of the wind. “With our south end zone closed now it’s even different than it was my first year here.
