NORMAN—Reggie Barnes didn't want to push his son to follow his path.
But, truth be told, there was very little doubt that if Robert Barnes became a Division-I caliber athlete who would attract the attention of Oklahoma, he would wind up in Norman.
Wednesday, the safety from Southlake (Texas) Carroll will make official the commitment he made in late 2015 when he signs with the Sooners.
Barnes is a five-star recruit according to 247Sports and a four-star athlete according to Rivals and Scout.
