DALLAS — Eric Striker taunted mascots, ribbed media members for their clothing and told jokes. He also spoke sincerely about racial issues and, of course, the problems that plagued the Sooner football team last season and how he expects it to be different in 2015.
In the aftermath of the fraternity chant that went viral and embarrassed the University of Oklahoma, Striker, a senior linebacker, said he wanted the public to see his personality, and boy did he show it Tuesday as he roamed the Dallas Omni Hotel, site of the 2015 Big 12 Media Days.
Throughout his 90-minute press conference — which came after several television and radio interviews earlier in the day — Striker stayed animated and never sat completely still.
