NORMAN — Oklahoma freshman running back T.J. Pledger is questionable to play Saturday against Kansas, coach Lincoln Riley said Monday.
Trey Sermon and Kennedy Brooks were the only two scholarship running backs OU had available last weekend against Oklahoma State.
Two was all it needed as Sermon and Brooks combined for 289 yards and five touchdowns, but Pledger's return would at least serve as a safety valve in the backfield.
"Have to see how he responds to treatment," Riley said. "Had a few days off there after he got dinged up. We’re counting on that buying us a little bit of time and certainly hopeful that he’ll be ready this week.
