Oklahoma right guard Dru Samia is one of five finalists for the Polynesian College Football Player of the Year.

The Sacramento, Calif., native started all 13 games for the Sooners. He was named Big 12 co-offensive lineman of the year and was a first-team conference selection.

Samia helped anchor an OU offensive line that is one of three finalists for the Joe Moore Award, given to the best offensive line in college football.

The Polynesian Player of the Year award is presented by the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame. Former Oregon star and current Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota was the inaugural winner in 2014.
