NORMAN — Drake Stoops’ first career catch, an eight-yard first-down pickup in the first quarter Saturday, was followed by chants of “Stooooops.”
The walk-on freshman receiver grew up around the program his dad led for 18 seasons. Now Stoops, from Norman North High School, is competing for a spot in the slot receiver rotation.
