NORMAN — With just a sliver of visibility to see the ball over South Dakota safety Phillip Powell, CeeDee Lamb was falling to his knees when he pulled down Jalen Hurts’ pass for a 48-yard catch on the second play of Oklahoma’s second drive.
Lamb had himself a day — or a half plus one strong punt return after the break — in Oklahoma’s 70-14 win over South Dakota on Owen Field on Saturday night.
He had six catches for 144 yards and a touchdown, and he showed why was a clear choice as Oklahoma’s top receiver entering this season.
