Legendary Oklahoma coach Barry Switzer will receive the National College Football Awards Association’s Contributions to College Football Award at the Home Depot 25th Anniversary College Football Awards Show on Dec. 10 (6 p.m., ESPN).
The award is for not only Switzer’s success in the game but his charitable work, including his support of the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame and the Special Olympics of Oklahoma.
Former Sooners quarterback J.C. Watt will present Switzer with the award.
Other awards given out as part of the show include the Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award.
