Austin Kendall's decision to transfer from Oklahoma to West Virginia proved to be the right one. Kendall was named West Virginia's starting quarterback on Tuesday.
"We tracked everything from spring practice to fall camp," coach Neal Brown told reporters Tuesday. "Completion percentage, number of turnovers, scoring drives from spring practice to fall camp. And it was clear after Friday's scrimmage."
Kendall announced his decision to transfer to West Virginia on Jan. 16, the same day Jalen Hurts announced his transfer from Alabama to Oklahoma.
Coach Lincoln Riley initially denied Kendall immediate eligibility at West Virginia.
