FORT WORTH, Texas — Just as Oklahoma’s NCAA Tournament resume looked irreparable, the Sooners added a Quadrant 1 win Saturday at TCU.
By NET standards, expected to be heavily valued by the selection committee, Oklahoma’s win in Fort Worth was its second-most impressive of the season behind a November home victory against Wofford.
Oklahoma (16-10, 4-9) ranks 41st in the NET with a 4-8 record against Quadrant 1 teams.
The record is more bleak than the resume, and the latter is more important in the eyes of the committee. That’s not to understate that coach Lon Kruger’s squad likely needs three more wins in its final five games and perhaps another victory in the Big 12 Tournament to go dancing.
