COLUMBIA, S.C. — Not 30 minutes after the buzzer sounded on Oklahoma’s season, Kristian Doolittle sat at the postgame podium and spoke of a new beginning.
Oklahoma is losing five senior rotation players — Christian James, Rashard Odomes, Jamuni McNeace, Aaron Calixte and Miles Reynolds — but there’s confidence within the program about what the Sooners can accomplish next season.
Two of OU’s top three scorers, Doolittle and sophomore forward Brady Manek, will return. As will freshman starting point guard Jamal Bieniemy. Wichita State transfer guard Austin Reaves is expected to be a key contributor, as is center Kur Kuath, who redshirted this season after transferring from Salt Lake Community College.
