OU basketball: Sooner signee Jalen Hill named Nevada's Gatorade Player of the Year

Oklahoma signee Jalen Hill was named boy's basketball Gatorade State Player of the Year in Nevada on Friday.

Hill averaged 17.5 points and 5.3 rebounds per game in his senior season at Clark High School in Las Vegas. He shot 56.5 percent from the floor.

Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas) defeated Clark in the Nevada Class 4A state championship.

The 6-foot-7 small forward is the 145th-ranked player in the 2019 class, according to the 247Sports composite. Hill is one of five signees in Oklahoma's 16th-ranked class.
